After 8+ years in the business as a photographer and educator based in Southern California, Emily felt it was time to upgrade her brand and web experience to reflect the clarity she’s gained over the years as an artist.
We wanted to elevate her branding and website in a way that felt in alignment with the high-end client experience she offers, while staying true to the raw, human quality that remains at the core of her work. With this in mind, we drew from her own imagined concept of everyone being the star of their own indie film — her brand marks and type treatments are a nod to title cards, the excerpt on her homepage scrolls through like end credits and featured moments throughout can be seen as collections of vignettes. Her logo became the marriage between elegant and approachable, while the overall color story was inspired by the warmth and nostalgia that the Californian coast represents for both of us.
